Volunteer Engagement Resources

Get access to your Golden Volunteer market dashboard: Volunteer leaders can get started today by reaching out to their staff partner to get access to your market dashboard. March of Dimes staff, please connect directly with Patty Gentry at pgentry@marchofdimes.org to connect access and provide more resources (demos, video tutorials and more!)

Map out year-round engagement: leverage March of Dimes marketing moments and campaigns and check out the year-round engagement calendar under movement committee that offers ideas for how volunteers can engage.

Get inspired: leverage the volunteer enablement toolkits accessible here to create new opportunities that might not be available to your volunteers yet.

Personal care kits for parents: Put together personal care kits for parents whose babies were born too soon or unexpectedly

Collect and assemble sibling kits: Volunteers put together activity kits for siblings so they have something fun to do while the rest of the family focuses on bonding with their new baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Send a note of hope: Show support by sending a note of hope that could include a note to a mom or dad to be, or a family with a baby in the NICU, a note to healthcare  providers, nurses and staff who are on the frontlines ensuring that moms and babies are receiving the best possible care.

Postcards to Policymakers and/or neighbors: Write notes and send postcards to show that fighting for the health of all moms and babies is important to you and your community.

While these toolkits point to the national opportunity, the opportunities and toolkits can easily be tweaked to reflect your market needs and local recipients by tweaking the PPT version toolkit and/or creating the opportunity through your Golden market dashboard targeting volunteers in your area.
