2022 Growth Generation Volunteer Leadership Award

The 2022 Growth Generation Volunteer Leadership Award goes to Beth Robertson.

Since Beth got involved with March of Dimes in 2018, revenue for the D.C. Signature Chefs event has more than doubled.

She had the idea to make Signature Chefs an “IT” event, and through a multi-year strategy to attract leaders in the health care and insurance industry, she soon became Chair, and grew the event from $250k in 2018 to raise $515,000 just 4 years later.

In 2022, Beth became Chair of the DMV Market Board and the first Roosevelt Society donor for the market, and encourages other Board and community members to join her, also ensuring her company remains engaged.

Beth truly embodies a “lead by example” approach in everything she does.

Beth Robertson joined the ELT for D.C. Signature Chefs in 2018 and worked with her staff partner to develop a multi-year strategy to attract health care and insurance leaders. It grew from $250K in 2017 to $330K in 2018. She then became Chair, recruited 6 new ELT members, and the event in 2019 had a 41 percent year over year increase. In 2021, Beth came back as Co-Chair and under her leadership, the event raised $515,000.

This year, the ELT has 16 high impact members representing the health care industry, as well as accounting, consulting and legal, and the event is set to have another record-breaking year.

Because of Beth, the event has become a top event in the insurance industry, while still attracting companies in other fields, like financial planning, legal, accounting and real estate. She works to attract not only new sponsors, but partners for March of Dimes. As an example, the Presenting Sponsor for Signature Chefs has expanded to a six-figure Market partner, sponsoring March for Babies and also serving as the largest funder of our Mom & Baby Mobile Health Center.

In January 2022, Beth became Chair of the DMV Market Board. She became the first Roosevelt Society donor for the market, and is inspiring other Board members to join her. As Board Chair, Beth is revenue focused, but leads with mission. Her company participated in March for Babies, and she inspires others to join her.

Beth doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. She has truly set up the event to be successful for years to come because of the volunteer leaders she has inspired and engaged.

Congratulations to Beth Robertson for being our 2022 Growth Generation Volunteer Leadership Award winner!
